The supermarket’s future is now

When you were a child how did you imagine supermarkets would be in the future? Maybe you thought it would no longer even be necessary to go into a physical store. Or that, if we had to go, the experience inside would be completely different and hi-techy.

However, years have passed and we still go shopping food much in the same way we did 20 years ago. Although I really enjoy food shopping (I love to cook, and so going to the market is a great opportunity to plan different dishes), but there are days when I cannot stand it. So, if you’re somewhat like me, you’re going to love the Tesco business case in South Korea.

Tesco has created a truly unique way of shopping, bringing shopping to everyday people, through big virtual panels fixed in subways station.

The firm, which goes by the brand name of Home Plus in Korea, is also encouraging shoppers to more actively use their mobile phones to order food.
