Samsung Mobile will finally be unveiling its long awaited Galaxy S II smartphone in an event in New York City August 29.
The phone – which sports a Super-AMOLED Display, Dual Core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 2.3.3 – has been available in Europe since March, but seems to have got caught up in FCC testing in the U.S.
Europe is set to get the white version of the phone on August 15, but it’s unclear if both the black and white versions will be available come launch in the U.S. August 29.
Operating on the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz GSM frequency bands, it’s a safe bet the phone will be launched exclusively with AT&T.
