Ministers of Communications from Brazil and Colombia, along with the General Secretary of Unasur, has firmed an agreement to boost cooperation and trade between the two countries. During the Investment Forum Colombia-Brazil, the ministers agreed on the need to implement a strategy to promote broadband in South America to close the gap in Internet access in the region.
In order to give continuity to the initiative, both countries have agreed to work together in designing the strategy, which still is very embryonic. The two ministers said they will work with other international development agencies, with a followup meeting in September.
