Panduit expand Costa Rica’s unit; firm will hire 500

Panduit, a developer and provider of leading-edge solutions, announced it has expanded its Costa Rica unit to focus on high technology products. The company didn’t reveal how much had invested in the unit, but said it plans to add 500 new jobs, which is an increase of 58% in its workforce, reaching 1,350 employees. According to the company, this movement guarantees Panduit to be the third-largest exporter of electronic components in Costa Rica.

Panduit’s production increased significantly during the past 15 years. One new area will be focusing on several production lines to help meet worldwide demand for solutions of unified physical infrastructure, the company said in a statement.

In Costa Rica, Panduit occupies about 25 000 square meters of space.

Solutions based on Panduit’s UPI adopt the convergence of business-critical systems to transform the physical infrastructure and implement more advanced control systems, communication and administration. These integrated solutions are used to support corporate sustainability initiatives, increasing reliability and reducing costs, while providing operational and financial benefits in all areas of business operation.
