Are you tired of squinting at your smartphone and one finger typing? T-Mobile is hoping you’ll upgrade to one of its new 4G tablets announced Monday. The T-Mobile SpringBoard and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are being promoted as some of the most portable computers yet, small enough to fit in a purse or coat pocket.
The SpringBoard, made by Huawei comes with the Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system installed, and comes preloaded with thousands of movies and TV shows from Blockbusteer on Demand, Netflix and T-Mobile TV. It has a 7-inch HD multi-touch display, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core mobile processor. It also includes a personal GPS navigation and local search application that provides turn-by-turn voice and on-screen driving directions. The SpringBoard also includes 2 cameras and a video recorder with 720p for HD video capture.
T-Mobile also announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will soon be available in T-Mobile stores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 1.0, first unveiled in June, has a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and full Adobe Flash Player support. T-Mobile’s version will include T-Mobile TV, as well as Qello, Samsung Media Hub, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD demo, SIM City Deluxe demo, Blio eReader and Zinio.
