MACH, a leading provider of hub-based mobile communication solutions, will be hosting key representatives from India’s mobile operator community this month at its exclusive “Insights India” conference. The invitation-only event, which runs Nov. 9-11 in Jaipur, is designed to help telecom operators explore strategies for driving revenue growth in a 3G world.
The conference will be opened by Raghunatha Chary, MACH India’s regional vice president of sales.
“Indian operators today face a number of challenges and opportunities. ARPU continues to be pressured in the market, but mobile data offers great scope for new revenue streams. Prepaid roaming shows enormous potential when fraud and recharge concerns are also addressed,” Chary said. “Our aim at Insights India is to explore how operators can best gear their businesses in this transforming mobile world, how they can successfully turn new opportunities into business deals, how they can develop new strategies to meet end-user demand, and how they can generate new sources of revenue and drive revenue growth in the new 3G world.”
More than 100 representatives from India’s leading mobile operators are expected to attend and discuss mobile industry topics, such as the latest roaming trends, regulatory and policy reforms, interstandard roaming and 3G data offloading, data roaming and the role of applied business intelligence, fraud management, 3G roaming pacts and many more.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn, network and talk to industry experts through presentations, interactive workshops, ‘meet the expert’ sessions and social events.
“MACH Insights is recognized in the industry as a leading conference in the mobile calendar, providing in-depth coverage of roaming topics. We are delighted to be able to bring to our customers in India the company’s first regional Insights event, Insights India,” Chary said. “The event is clear evidence of our ever growing commitment to the country’s fast expanding telecoms industry, underpinning our aim to play an increasingly active role and demonstrating our desire to partner and grow with India.”
MACH is looking at helping operators in India navigate the challenges and opportunities that come with 3G, as evidenced by its investment earlier this year in a new global data clearing platform in Hyderabad. The multimillion-dollar investment, the largest in the company’s history, is paving the way for mobile operators in India to leverage the full-service capabilities of 3G without large investments in capital expenditures and reap the benefits of increased usage and revenue growth.
