The new center could also serve as a starting point for the company’s expansion throughout Latin America by supporting operations in others countries where Dígitro owns businesses. The company explained to RCR Wireless News that its international operations began in 2003 by selling its solution via resellers and partners. In 2011, Dígitro increased its share in Latin America by opening office in Paraguay.
Dígitro did not reveal how much it has invested in its Peru’s subsidiary, nor the amount of its revenue, but noted that 2011 was primarily a year for investments, and that enterprise customers generated new business and it gained customers in strategic markets.
The new subsidiary has already begun work on software and operator interface products. The company said it started the operation with 11 employees in the commercial and technical support areas, but that it was looking to employ 20 direct people at the center by the end of 2013.
