Wireless infrastructure trade association PCIA announced that Michael Fitch will resign his position as president and CEO of the organization he has headed since 2005. Fitch will remain in his position until a successor is found.
PCIA noted that Fitch will return to Los Angeles and engage in telecommunications consulting work.
“It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve as president and CEO of PCIA,” Fitch noted in a statement. “PCIA’s members play a crucial role ensuring that coverage and capacity are available to meet the exploding demand for wireless services. We have worked successfully for greater recognition of the importance of wireless infrastructure and more pragmatic approaches in policy making.”
