Full Móvil, the No. 2 mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Costa Rica behind TuYo Móvil, began to operate in September 2011. Sebastián Haedo, Full Móvil’s director, talked with Signals Telecom News, an RCR Wireless News syndication partner about the company’s wireless operations

Full Móvil belongs to Grupo Virtualis, which is comprised of the stores Monge, Casa Blanca and Rapidmóvil, and operates using the state-owned Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad network. It is focused prepaid service aimed at young people.
During the interview, Haedo said that Full Movíl owns network infrastructure and platforms separately from ICE, which has allowed the company to continue working even when the ICE had some problems in the past.
He also talked about the competition from Claro and Movistar, which also entered the Costa Rican market after the ICE monopoly ended.
