–Radisys scored a win with its small cell software solution chosen by Samji for picocell deployment in Korea.

The deployment will include Radisys’ Trillium TOTALeNodeB and Mindspeed’s T3300 small cell silicon support.

Samji’s VP and CTO Chong-Yung Chun said that the company chose Radisys because its software could support all of its small cell deployments, from very small, targeted residential cells supporting up to eight users, to pico cells supporting more than 100.

“This scalability combined with the integral support of Radisys’ system architects who joined with our engineering team to deliver the best solution punctuates why Radisys was best equipped to help us deploy rapidly,” he added.

Radisys’ ENodeB solution is also being deployed in the United Kingdom and North America, according to the company.
