With data and messaging quickly overtaking voice as the prime means of communications over mobile devices, one would think that any company looking to do anything voice-related was crazy. Well, let me introduce you to OneTok, a start-up looking to add a touch of voice to everyday data and messaging communications.
The company, which is less than two years old, provides a platform to allow developers to add instant messaging voice, voice notes, voicemail and conference calling features to applications.
OneTok co-founder Ben Lilienthal spoke with RCR Wireless News about how the company is looking to provide a voice-enablement platform to application developers, enterprises and the consumer market. As a start up Lilienthal also touched on the current venture capital market as it relates to the mobile space.
