Today’s Mobile Minute:

  • T-Mobile says it has sold half a million iPhone 5s in less than a month. T-Mobile US was the last of the big four carriers to get the iPhone, and it’s selling it under its Simple Choice plan, meaning that most users pay lower service fees than they would with other carriers, but they have to pay $20 a month for two years before they actually own the iPhone. The company also encourages iPhone users from other carriers to swtich to T-Mobile. It says it has picked up 100,000 new iPhone customers this way.
  • In other news, Nokia’s newest Windows phone is called the Lumia 928 and a few pictures of the phone have started to leak out. Nokia is apparently focusing on advanced camera technology as the big selling point – it’s calling the Lumia 928 the best low-light smartphone camera. The official launch is expected May 14.
