Samsung zooms into smartphone camera race

It seems that even the world’s top seller of smartphones is not immune to peer pressure. Samsung has added a built-in zoom lens to its Galaxy S4, apparently very aware that Nokia and HTC are both focusing on high-end camera technology in their flagship devices this summer. But Samsung takes a very different approach from its competitors. Instead of embedding camera technology, the Galaxy S4 Zoom attaches a large zoom lens to the device itself.
