The National Association of Tower Erectors named Pat Cipov chairwoman of the trade organization, the first female named to that position in NATE’s 18-year history. Cipov will replace current chairman Jim Coleman, who is stepping down to assume the position of SVP of a new organization resulting from the merger of Sabre and MUTI.
Cipov is president of Cipov Enterprises and is currently a member of the NATE executive board.
“I am honored and humbled to assume the position of NATE Chairwoman,” said Cipov in a statement. “I sincerely appreciate this opportunity and look forward to continuing to work hard every day to ensure that safety remains the top priority in the industry.”
NATE was formed in 1995 to address collective issues of operations and safety and to affect industry-initiated standards. The nonprofit organization represents communications tower erectors, service contractors, maintenance companies, vendors and manufacturers across the nation.
