Mindspeed Technologies Inc. reported net revenues of $35.6 million for the quarter that were flat year-over-year, with modest growth in communications processors and wireless infrastructure.
Half of its revenues came from communications processors, or about $17.7 million; wireless infrastructure accounted for 7% of its revenues. Both those segments were up 3% sequentially. High-performance analog products brought in another $15.3 millon, or 43% of its revenues; that figure was down 3%. Mindspeed reported $35.45 million in revenue during the same period in 2012.
GAAP net income in the company’s fiscal third quarter was $1.6 million, compared to a loss of $6.8 million in the same period last year and more than $40 million in the previous quarter. The company also narrowed its operating losses, from $13.2 million in the same quarter of 2012 to $3.42 million.
Raouf Halim, CEO of Mindspeed, said that the company was pleased with results that exceeded its expectations and that it would continue to strengthen its market postion. Mindspeed recently announced a collaboration with D2 on LTE routers, and has been recognized by the Small Cell Forum for innovation in commercial small cell deployments.
Mindspeed expects total net product revenue in its next quarter to be stay between $35 million-$37 million.
