Connected classrooms: challenges and opportunities for service providers

52 million students in more than 10,000 K-12 school districts are heading back to school as educators, parents and students demand better connectivity in the classroom. Many schools initiated plans for Wi-Fi connectivity with laptops in mind, and now find teachers and students asking for tablets instead. In many cases students are bringing their own devices to school and trying to connect to the network. Connecting schools to mobile broadband requires careful planning, as well as considerations that are not part of most enterprise deployments.
