–AT&T Mobility announced this week the expansion of its LTE services to a handful of new markets, including Yuma, Ariz.; Eureka, Calif.; Elkhart-Goshen, Ind.; Traverse City, Mich.; Ogdensburg-Massena and Plattsburgh, N.Y.; and Wenatchee, Wash.
The carrier said its LTE service now covers nearly 280 million potential customers.
–Regional wireless carrier C Spire announced via its Facebook page that it plans to launch an “unlimited everything” plan beginning April 7 that will run $65 per month. Details beyond the price and data are sparse at the moment.
C Spire currently offers an unlimited plan at $100 per month that includes voice calling, messaging, mobile Web, online streaming music and video services. The carrier also offers a less expensive “unlimited” plan that trims the video watching to just 30 minutes per month for $80.
–Texas-based Evolve Broadband launched LTE services using Globecomm’s core managed services platform.
Evolve, which provides voice and data services across 13 counties in Texas, completed an LTE trial with Globecomm last year and has recently finished its initial 35% coverage area build out of LTE services. The company is using 700 MHz spectrum licenses acquired during the Federal Communications Commission’s Auction 73.
