Mobile Minute: The Mobile Minute is sponsored by SpiderCloud Wireless The Transportation Safety Board says it will not allow uncharged cell phones or other uncharged portable electronics to board U.S.-bound planes from some airports. The agency is concerned that the devices could be used to hide bombs, and wants to see evidence that they are being used as intended. For travelers, the new rule could create some problems if it takes effect in airports that do not have easy access to power outlets. Several smartphones are already compatible with wireless chargers, often called charging pads. Smartphones that work with wireless chargers include the Samsung Galaxy S5, S4 and S3, the LG G2, Motorola’s Droid Maxx and several Nokia Lumia smartphones. |
