Teradata recently strengthened its integrated marketing cloud platform. The big data analytics and marketing applications company said it increased its global mobile marketing strength with the acquisition of Appoxee, a mobile marketing software-as-a-service provider.
The goal of the acquisition, which closed late last year, is aimed at allowing Taradata to offer marketing solutions designed to help data-driven businesses deliver individualized information to customers.
“By adding Appoxee’s leading mobile marketing solutions, we’re further helping our customers use data to know more about their customers’ true preferences, and do more to realize the benefits of individualized data-driven marketing,” said Darryl McDonald, president of Teradata Marketing Applications. “This investment underscores our commitment to continuously expand our capabilities in individualized digital marketing to benefit Teradata Marketing Applications customers throughout the world.”
Taradata believes the Appoxee acquisition will accelerate its growth of marketing applications in the digital marketing space and provide mobile capabilities that complement Teradata’s integrated marketing cloud, particularly omni-channel marketing and real-time customer interaction.
Customers of Teradata’s digital marketing center will now have access to a single solution to manage customer communications across e-mail, landing pages, text messaging, social media and mobile push.
“Marketers have recognized the strategic importance of delivering optimized customer experiences across channels, enabled by a comprehensive view of the customer, a centralized communication hub and coordinated messaging technologies,” explained Appoxee founder and CEO Itay Levy. “By joining forces with Teradata, a global leader in marketing applications and big data analytics, we’re helping marketers worldwide deliver the best customer experiences possible.”
Appoxee currently serves companies across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Teradata serves more than 2,600 customers worldwide.
