Network functions virtualization, software-defined networking, cloud, big data and smart cities were major themes at the recent TM Forum Live event, with numerous panel discussions and keynote topics tackling the telecom industry’s continued move toward virtualization. While onsite, RCR Wireless News spoke with several companies on the topics, including Tech Mahindra and ZTESoft International.
Arun Balasubramanian, global head of communication technology providers at Tech Mahindra, which has become a significant player in the telecom software space, spoke about its Catalyst projects at the event; as well as its views on smart cities, security and big data.
Claudia Bacco, managing director for EMEA at RCR Wireless News, spoke with Ben Zhou, CEO at ZTEsoft International, on the company’s smart cloud enabler announcement, and its thoughts on big data and smart cities.
