Amdocs aims to reach double-digit growth across target regions in 2016
North America remains the key market for Amdocs despite increasing growth from other emerging markets, according to Vincent Rousselet, VP for customer insight and strategy at the company.
According to the company’s latest financial report, North America accounted for 62.6% of the company’s overall revenues during its first fiscal quarter of 2016, which ended Dec. 31. In the previous quarter, North American represented 67.6% of the firm’s total revenues.
Meanwhile, revenues from the so-called “rest of the world” regions, including Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa accounted for 23.4% of Amdocs’ overall revenues in fiscal Q1 2016, compared to 19.9% in the previous quarter.
“In these markets our customers, which are the telecoms operators, still have a lot of room to grow in terms of subscribers. In other regions such as Europe and North America the market is more saturated,” Rousselet said. “In Latin America, we are seeing growth opportunities in countries such as Brazil and Argentina. In Asia-Pacific we believe we are well positioned to capture growth opportunities in the coming years. We have a strong relationship with a number of customers in Asia-Pacific including Singtel and Globe and we aim to continue growing with them in the future.”
Amdocs said it’s on track to sustain double-digit growth in the “rest of the world” region in fiscal 2016.
Rousselet said Amdocs sees high growth opportunities in other segments beyond the traditional markets for the company. “We see opportunities in new digital services, entertainment and IoT,” Rousselet explained. “These new services are becoming an area of growth in Asia-Pacific but also in other emerging regions.”
Rousselet also said Amdocs has a very positive outlook for its European operation during fiscal year 2016. “We see a lot of activity in this market, with a number of key deals for our company. A lot is going on in telecoms markets in the U.K, Germany and France,” he said.
