Data Hub solution is part of Amdocs’ CES 10 product portfolio
ORLANDO–Amdocs is currently helping service providers deal with certain challenges and preparing them to compete in the digital era with its Data Empowerment strategy, Amdocs’ marketing director for Big Data and Strategic Innovations Matt Roberts told reporters during the Amdocs Americas Summit.
According to the executive, Amdocs Data Empowerment enables companies to move to a more modern, cost effective data management solution and also enables transformation into a digital organization.
Service providers possess huge amounts of data from diverse sources. Amdocs believes that in order to effectively compete in today’s dynamic market, these companies must be able to rapidly access and leverage these data assets. Real-time big data analytics enable service providers to tackle the challenges of handling huge volumes of data and fusing network and customer data.
Roberts said that Amdocs Data Hub is a key part of this strategy. The solution, which is part of the Amdocs’ CES 10 product portfolio, is built on scalable big data technology and enables service providers to extract, process and visualize their massive volumes of data, and provides a robust data management foundation for analytics.
The executive added that the Data Hub features a data management platform enabling seamless extraction and processing of communications data and rich set of reports and visualizations tools. The Data Hub also includes an innovative customer and network analytical application suite as well as full set of data management services.
According to Amdocs, the Data Hub offers several benefits including reduced costs for data integration, storage and reporting with prebuilt collectors, a communications-specific data model and big data technology. This solution also correlates diverse data sources into a rich customer profile to enable analytical applications and maintains business continuity by functioning as a single gateway for the enterprise data warehouse and downstream systems which shields them from source system changes.
