French IoT firm Sigfox currently operates in 30 markets.
Global internet of things and mobile virtual network operator enabler Teleena signed a strategic partnership with Dutch Sigfox network operator Aerea. Under terms of the agreement, Teleena will become an authorized Sigfox Channel Partner, which will allow the firm to offer Sigfox connectivity to its IoT customers.
French IoT connectivity firm Sigfox currently claims a network presence in 30 countries and is looking to expand into another 30 countries by 2018.
Teleena is headquartered in the Netherlands, with regional offices in United Kingdom and Singapore. The firm’s service portfolio includes core network and to business support tools. Teleena’s roaming agreements provide 2G, 3G and 4G mobile access to 660 networks in 220 countries and 57 million global Wi-Fi hot spots, as well as LoRa and Sigfox network connectivity.
Aerea offers Sigfox connectivity services, owns and operates a nationwide Sigfox low-power network in the Netherlands and offers worldwide Sigfox connectivity services.
Idrive to implement Podsystem’s connectivity for dual video fleet monitoring
Idrive, a California-based company specializing in high-definition video devices for fleet monitoring, and PodsystemM2M, a specialist in connectivity for machine-to-machine and IoT industries, signed an agreement to incorporate multinetwork connectivity into Idrive’s dual video fleet monitoring devices.
The Idrive X2 is a dual event video recorder designed to record two HD videos simultaneously. Fitted with ultrawide lenses, the camera can capture events in front of and to the rear of the vehicle.
When combined with the 3G module using PodsystemM2M’s multinetwork data SIM cards, the cameras are said to provide a real-time “look-in” to the vehicle, meaning users can monitor and observe their entire fleet.
“One of the biggest concerns for fleet managers is reducing road accidents among their drivers. Idrive´s solution has been designed to accurately record events leading up to and during a collision, helping the fleet manager to understand the causes of the accident and use the footage to train other drivers which has been proven to reduce traffic accidents by 50% or more, according to research performed by the U.S. Federal Motor Coach Safety Administration,” said Idrive CEO Sean O´Neil.
