David Houghton has spent the past 25 years of experience working at the intersection of technology, business and performance improvement in a variety of strategic planning, management, operations, business development and sales positions. Most recently, David led sales and business development as a Director for Bright Wolf, an IoT software platform company that designs, develops, and deploys enterprise solutions. Before joining Bright Wolf in 2014, David was the CEO of Veedims from 2012 to 2013. There, he drove the commercialization and go-to-market strategy of Veedims’s novel, end-to-end IoT software and hardware platform which targets both the commercial and industrial markets.

Before Veedims, David acted as a consultant to to Verizon for two years. During that time, from 2010 to 2012, he shaped and executed their healthcare vertical and identity solution strategies. And prior to Verizon, from 2009 to 2010, David managed and led the sale of the innovative software startup, Systems Pathology Company, to Charles River Laboratories. As Vice President of Life Sciences for SAIC, David initiated and led the Commercial Life Sciences Practice. David was also Director of Strategy and Business Operations at Pfizer Inc., where he was responsible for strategic planning and operations. His field sales and systems experience spans 13 years and includes assignments with Sun Microsystems and Unisys Corporation. Mr. Houghton holds a BA in Economics from Villanova University.

 

Adrian Fernandez is the Microcontroller Development Experience Manager at Texas Instruments. In this role, he is responsible for defining the microcontroller development ecosystem and augmenting the way developers interact with TI’s microcontroller portfolio through hardware and software tools. Adrian also founded the TI LaunchPad™ Development Kit Ecosystem – an offering of open source, easy-to-use modular hardware kits that enable developers to iterate through rapid prototyping and quickly move to production. Through this ecosystem, Adrian has helped define and release tools that get developers to market quickly with differentiated solutions, while ensuring product/market fit..

Since joining TI, Adrian has worked with a wide variety of customers, including hardware startups, students, makers and fortune 100 companies. Through these interactions, Adrian has helped define the next generation of tools that are helping developers use TI technology to innovate and solve difficult problems more efficiently.

Adrian holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, concentrating on embedded systems and digital signal processing. He lives with his wife Ellen & pug Ollie in Dallas, TX.
