Telefonica Tech launches cyber intelligence offering for large firms

Telefonica Tech noted its new cyber-intelligence service is part of the NextDefense managed services

Telefónica Tech, which is a unit of Spanish carrier Telefonica, has launched a comprehensive cyber intelligence service for large enterprises, the company said in a release.

Telefónica Tech’s new service provides guidance and real-time intelligence that spans all levels of cyber threat analysis to enable organizations’ security managers to anticipate, detect and defend against sophisticated cyber threats, the firm said.

Telefónica Tech also noted its new cyber-intelligence service is part of its NextDefense managed services, with which the company guarantees the cyber-resilience of businesses. Solutions associated with that managed service include tactical intelligence on immediate threats, operational intelligence on attacker methods and strategic intelligence on the long-term threat landscape.

Telefónica Tech said it provides the cyber intelligence service from its Digital Operations Center (DOC), which operates from two locations in Spain and Colombia.

“The company has the capability to process and generate threat intelligence in-house, but also has access to a wide variety of threat intelligence sources, tools and technologies to provide comprehensive assessments. Among others, Telefónica Tech is a member of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA) and collaborates with the Spanish National SOC Network (RNS). 24/7 monitoring enables Telefónica Tech to ensure that threats are identified and addressed in real time, and to create customized solutions tailored to each client’s needs and risk profiles,” Telefonica said.

Alberto Sempere, director of services, innovation and partnerships at Telefónica Tech, said that understanding and profiling cyber attackers has become essential for organizations to anticipate and detect attacks that are not covered by traditional defensive solutions. “We are committed to providing our customers with the most advanced and effective solutions to protect their critical data and assets. With the launch of this new cyber threat intelligence service, we are reinforcing our commitment to help businesses counter threats with confidence,” he said.
