CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom-Cambridge Positioning Systems Ltd. announced it has secured a multi-million dollar contract with Electronia, a leading Middle Eastern communications provider and manufacturer. In the deal, Electronia will use CPS’ Matrix high-accuracy location technology to extend it service offering into asset and personnel safety services and build on its market share in telematics.
“We have undertaken the most thorough evaluation of all available technologies and now know that Matrix offers the most powerful combination of accuracy, performance and cost to drive profitable new services,” said Tariq Husain, vice president of business development for Electronia.
CPS and Electronia said deployments will take place before the end of the year in six Gulf countries: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
