Martin Dawes buys U.S. revenue assurance provider

LONDON-U.K.-based billing supplier Martin Dawes Systems, which has its eye on the mobile virtual network operator market, acquired Boston-based Lavastorm Technologies, which provides next-generation revenue and business assurance software.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition will provide a U.S. base for Martin Dawes Systems to extend its operations in the North American market and a platform for Lavastorm to extend its operations into Europe and abroad. Lavastorm counts a U.S.-based wireless carrier as a client.

“Both companies are already working closely with new market entrants, particularly MVNO and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) operators, said Dewi Thomas, managing director of Martin Dawes Systems. “The focus for these new entrants is first and foremost on executing their market strategy.”
