ESPOO, Finland-Nokia has inked a reseller agreement with Ubiquity software that calls for Nokia to offer Ubiquity’s SIP Application Server as part of its IP Multimedia Subsystem solution.
Ubiquity’s SIP Application Server is a programmable, JAVA-based, 3GPP-compliant solution. The company also will provide maintenance, training and professional services.
In a separate commercial agreement, Nokia and Ubiquity have created an end-to-end SIP-enabled multimedia application called Media Push that allows users to subscribe to news and other media or information channels and have content pushed to their devices. The application is already included in ongoing customer trials.
