BURNSVILLE, Minn.-E.F. Johnson Co. delivered its first system of narrowband 220 MHz radio equipment using linear modulation technology to dispatch operators in Southern Florida.
The radios are for the first phase of a 60-channel system that will be networked together by Citation Communications, Rapid Communications and Business Radio Systems. The system, scheduled to be finished in early 1995, will offer wide-area coverage throughout southern Florida, including cities such as Key West, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Fort Myers.
Johnson will build the products at its facility in Waseca, Minn.
