CALGARY, Alberta-Cell-Loc Inc. said it agreed to purchase Intelligent Database International Ltd. of Calgary for 455,555 company shares.
In the acquisition, Cell-Loc will assume full ownership of IDI, including its Position Collection and Distribution System technology, which provides connectivity to, and routing between, hardware and software components in a public, private, wireline- or wireless-based network environment.
This will allow Cell-Loc’s new Cellocate Service Bureau to offer Internet-based wireless location services such as fleet management, asset tracking and personal safety and security, according to Cell-Loc.
“The staff at IDI have been working successfully with Cell-Loc for the last two years and possess the required industry-related knowledge in software engineering, commercial product development, positioning, navigation, mapping, GIS, satellite communications, customer service, e-business, service bureaus and market intelligence,” said Michel Fattouche, president and chief executive officer of Cell-Loc.
“This strategic move on Cell-Loc’s part provides value far beyond the purchase price.”
