CHICAGO-Cellular One of Chicago, north central Illinois and northwest Indiana introduced Digital Edge Midwest and Digital Edge USA-new regional and national wireless rate plans that include free long-distance and roaming services, said SBC Communications Inc./Ameritech Corp., which operates as Cellular One in the Midwest. The plans were introduced as a result of the two companies completing their merger.
Digital Edge Midwest offers Cellular One customers free roaming and long distance while traveling within the five-state region of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. Rate plans range from 300 minutes for $50, to 1,000 minutes for $100, the company said.

Digital Edge USA offers customers free roaming and long distance nationwide. Plans range from 600 minutes for $90, to 1,600 minutes for $160.
