MURRAY HILL, N.J.-Lucent Technologies Inc. announced an agreement with Bandai Co. Ltd. of Japan to help service providers stimulate new wireless network services in the United States, such as interactive games and other mobile Internet-based consumer services.
Lucent said it plans to collaborate with Bandai to promote the addition of its gaming and entertainment content as an enhanced service available with Lucent mobile network infrastructure. Consumers would be able to play interactive games, exchange e-mail messages and surf the Internet through a wireless-equipped version of Bandai’s WonderSwan, a hand-held electronic gaming device.
