RESTON, Va.-Proxicom Inc., an e-business consulting and development company, was hired by USA Today to help develop a wireless business strategy targeted at the newspaper’s business-traveler customers.
“The business traveler has always been a key audience for USA Today, both in print and online, and now we’re in a position to create another product-a wireless one-to serve our business-travel audience,” said Lorraine Cichowski, senior vice president for business development at USA Today.
Proxicom said Aether Systems Inc. will provide wireless data consulting and engineering for the first phase of the project.
“Business travelers fit perfectly with Aether’s strategy to focus on wireless data services for users that have the greatest need for real-time information while they’re away from the office,” said Aether Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dave Oros.
