BUDAPEST, Hungary-Hungary’s Pannon GSM said it began a data service that allows users to download data at 43.2 kilobits per second free using High Speed Circuit Switched Data technology. The PannonSztrada service is dependent, however, on no or low traffic on the network.
The service can be accessed across the country, provided both calling parties’ networks and handsets support the higher-speed function. The service’s availability depends on the free capacity of the cell being used within the network.
The Nokia Cardphone 2.0 PCMCIA card supports the multichannel high-speed data in Hungary.
