RESTON, Va.-Comsearch reported that Nokia Corp. selected its IQ-Link microwave path design software tool to assist in the design of the microwave interconnect for Italy’s BLU Global System for Mobile communications network.
IQ-Link is a comprehensive engineering software tool that performs spectrum allocation and frequency engineering for hundreds of microwave links, including multiple link scenarios.
“We are very pleased with Nokia’s acquisition of another IQ-Link license,” said David Donohoe, vice president of information services at Comsearch. “This indicates our product’s strengths and flexibility for the initial design, rollout and maintenance of microwave networks to interconnect mobile networks.”
According to Comsearch, the deal is valued at more than $200,000 in software licenses and support.
