PENSACOLA, Fla.-Nextel Partners Inc. launched its digital wireless network in the Mississippi Gulf Coast; Mobile, Ala.; and the Florida Gulf Coast regions.
The coverage area will extend along the Interstate 10 corridor from the Louisiana/Mississippi border to Gulfport, Miss., east to Biloxi and Pascagoula, Miss., to Mobile, through Pensacola, Fla., to Marianna, Fla., and on to Tallahassee, Fla.; Mobile north to Montgomery, Ala., along I-65 north; Pensacola east to Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Santa Rosa Beach and Panama City, Fla., along I-98; and Marianna, south to Panama City.
Nextel also announced that James Ryder will lead the company’s launch in the region as general manager and will be responsible for managing the development of Nextel’s local wireless coverage network.
