WASHINGTON-In another blow to the struggling trade association, Rob Hoggarth, senior vice president of government relations for the Personal Communications Industry Association, is leaving PCIA in the near future to work in the government relations office of NTT Communications, several sources have told RCR Wireless News.
Hoggarth’s departure leaves PCIA with nary a presence in Washington lobbying since the exits of much of its government relations staff over the past 18 months.
With few exceptions, none of the departing government relations staff have been replaced and Hoggarth had become PCIA’s voice and lobbying force.
A source close to PCIA said an internal announcement has been made but that Hoggarth’s specific departure date is not known.
