SAN FRANCISCO—Multimedia mobile delivery company Mazingo Network is offering a subscription service that allows users to access rich-media content from hundreds of channels.
Included in Mazingo’s channel line-up are classic movies, television shows, daily radio programs from the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and CNET, short films, and daily cartoons and comics. Subscriber rates, which are as low as $7.91 per month, also include the ability to create custom channels for offline Web site viewing.
“A low monthly fee unlocks a world of mobile entertainment that, until now, was impossible to deliver in such an easy way,” said Carmine Gallo, the company vice president of channel development. “Combined with Mazingo’s DRM System that copyright owners can feel confident about, the launch of Mazingo’s premium service is an important step in the delivery of true multimedia and entertainment to handhelds.”
