WASHINGTON—The government of Honduras plans to assign two new mobile telephony licenses. The licenses are planned for two of five frequency bands—in 800 MHz or 900 MHz or the three personal communications services (PCS) bands at 1900 MHz for GSM technology. There is a possibility of assigning the 1800 MHz band.
Interested parties must register with Conatel by 23 April, with prequalification documents due 2 May.
