FRAMINGHAM, Mass.—NowSpeed Inc. released Mobile Office 2.5, which enhanced the Exchange gateway by allowing it to be a gateway for other intranet and IT applications.
“Customers want to use NowSpeed Mobile Office not only as their gateway to e-mail, calendar, contacts and documents, but also as a gateway to other intranet applications,” said David Reske, NowSpeed’s chief executive officer. “Release 2.5 makes access to intranet applications easy for remote users by providing a single, secure gateway for users coming in from the Web, mobile devices or touch-tone telephones.”
In other news, NowSpeed announced that it now has more than 10,000 licensed users of its Mobile Office software and that more than 1,000 companies from 67 countries have used the 1-10 user version of the software, available via free download at the company’s Web site.
