SCHAUMBURG, Ill.-Bluetooth manufacturer Taiyo Yuden announced it has begun development and commercialization of 5 GHz wireless LAN applications, with Resonext Communications Inc. supplying the 802.11a chipsets.
“Our company is engaged in a mission to develop innovative solutions that will simplify the adoption of new wireless technologies such as 5 GHz wireless LAN,” said Yukihiro Kawada, senior operating officer of Taiyo Yuden. “This new partnership will allow us to play an important part in the realization of the ubiquitous wireless networking environment.”
