IConverse gets $6M in venture capital

NEW YORK-IConverse, Waltham, Mass., a mobile application platform provider, has secured $6 million in follow-on venture capital financing led by existing investors, Advanced Technology Ventures and Prism Venture Partners.

“The demand for key mobile worker applications like field service, sales force automation and healthcare practice management continues to grow,” said David Baum, general partner of Prism Venture Partners.

“IConverse’s product expertise positions the company to reap the benefits of this and next year’s renewed interest in mobile application deployment.”

The company, which has obtained $30 million in venture financing altogether, said it would use the latest capital infusion to expand its sales and marketing here and abroad and to increase its research and development.
