SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-Somera Communications, which provides telecommunications equipment and equipment deployment services, announced it acquired Compass Telecom through an asset-purchase transaction.
Compass Telecom provides outsourced services to optimize wireless networks and equipment assets.
“Efficient management of equipment assets has become increasingly important given today’s capital constrained environment. We see a clear trend toward outsourcing this activity among network operators, as well as manufacturers, as they focus their respective internal resources on core competencies,” said Rick Darnaby, Somera’s chief executive officer.
