RICHARDSON, Texas-Venture capital fund Genesis Campus, which focuses on information and wireless technologies, has appointed wireless industry pioneer Mal Gurian to its board of advisors.
Gurian, who was named to the RCR Wireless News Hall of Fame this year, was responsible for OKI Telecom receiving the first Federal Communications Commission-type certification for a cellular telephone in 1983. Since then, he has led several wireless reseller and wireless start-up companies and is currently head of consulting firm Mal Gurian Associates.
