MSNBC gets into Wi-Fi game

REDMOND, Wash.-MSNBC.com announced the launch of its wireless service known as the MSNBC Wireless Traveler to allow users of mobile laptops to access news, including top national and international coverage, business, sports and entertainment updates, using Wi-Fi technology.

The information will be available at hot spots like airport terminals, hotel lobbies and cafes. The laptops will use Intel Centrino mobile technology.

“Wireless Traveler alleviates the frustration of being disconnected by allowing mobile professionals a means to stay on top of the news,” said Scott Moore, president of MSNBC.com.
