MINNEAPOLIS-Activision Inc. will sell wireless versions of three of its popular desktop computer games through a new deal with wireless content company Airborne Entertainment. The companies plan to sell wireless versions of Tough Trucks, Skateboard Park Tycoon and Cruise Ship Tycoon.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to take our successful PC CD-ROM games to the mobile platform,” said Brian Johnson, Activision’s director of business development. “The combination of our exceptionally rich content and the media strengths of Airborne should result in great gains for both companies.”
The wireless games business has seen a significant amount of interest during the past few years, as players look to bring well-known game titles to the wireless arena.
