SEATTLE-Mobile application company Mobliss announced two new marketing campaigns around its premium short message service and downloadable mobile services.
Fox Broadcasting Co. will offer premium SMS and downloadable services called “Joe 2 Go” that promote its new TV show “The Next Jo Millionaire: An International Affair.” Depending on carriers and handsets, viewers can receive exclusive photos of the new Joe Millionaire, the girls vying for his heart and the Italian villa where the show takes place; behind-the scenes information not seen on the program; audio tones; graphics such as country flags personalized with the girls’ faces; and polls to vote for favorite contestants.
Verizon Wireless, AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Sprint PCS, Nextel Communications Inc. and T-Mobile USA are all participating in the Joe 2 Go promotions.
In addition, Coca-Cola will use two-way wireless text messaging to target teens for its Cokemusic.com Fall 2003 under-the-cap Decibel Central promotion. The technology allows U.S. Coke consumers to redeem cap codes from 20-ounce bottles via SMS-enabled phones.
The six nationwide operators and Alltel are participating in the promotion. Users enter cap codes using their phones to accrue points or “decibels” in their accounts on Cokemusic.com. They can then use their accounts to enter for chances at prizes.
