AUSTIN, Texas-Tower company Kampen and Greenwell Inc. announced a deal with Kum & Go L.C. to license space on the chain’s 425 or so Western and Midwestern convenience stores for cell-site construction.
KGI said network design is in the works and includes rooftops, stealth concealment structures and new towers.
“The Kum & Go properties are located in high-traffic areas where call volumes can be heavy, therefore making these sites attractive to many wireless carriers,” said Mike Kampen, principal with KGI. “Collocation of wireless facilities on existing structures is good for the communities, for the wireless carriers and for our property owners.”
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
