BOULDER, Colo.-The Mobile Marketing Association continues to gain steam, adding high-profile members including Playboy Enterprises, NBC Networks and The Walt Disney Co.
The MMA, which looks to fuel the growth of mobile marketing by establishing industry standards and guidelines, unveiled more than two dozen new member companies that have joined since August. While network operators, software developers and wireless pure-play startups are still well represented in the membership ranks, the group is increasingly attracting the attention of more mainstream brands, according to Executive Director Laura Marriott.
“I think the interesting thing about the membership is that the focus has shifted,” Marriott said. “It used to be technology companies, now it’s the big brands and agencies.”
