Mobile Content Venture, which includes 12 broadcast groups focused on developing a national mobile content service to deliver live television and on-demand video content, announced two technology agreements with mobile TV companies, MobiTV and Nagra-Kudelski. Nagra-Kudelski provides content protection and multiscreen television solutions. The company will assist MCV with managing its standards-based conditional access. MobiTV, which focuses on media-to-mobile delivery, will help the group develop consumer applications to be included in MCV’s consumer launch. The company also said it has received commitments from several manufacturers.
BlueAnt Wireless extended its partnership with Vlingo to combine Vlingo’s speech-enabled virtual assistant solution with BlueAnt’s voice-control technology. Outlier Inc. and Live Nation Entertainment Inc. announced that Live Nation is now a retail merchant partner for Outlier’s SWAGG mobile application. The SWAGG app allows customers to purchase gift cards good for Live Nation merchandise.
